ISPR Membership Benefits
Introduction

Formed in 1997, Illinois Staff Physician Recruiters (ISPR) is dedicated to the development of recruitment and retention of health care professionals in Illinois.  ISPR members will seek to enhance professionalism, and maintain a selective, knowledgeable approach to recruitment, retention and acquisitions of physicians and allied health care providers.  This will include networking and educational development.  Membership is open to individuals who are directly involved in and have primary responsibility for the recruitment, retention, or acquisition of physicians and/or other medical staff, and who are employed or contracted to do so by hospital, hospital system, clinic, medical group, practice, or not for profit health care association. We want physicians to know our role as "in-house" recruiters.

Benefits of Membership

Our Values

1)Quarterly Meetings - ISPR members meet quarterly at various facilities throughout Illinois.  The meetings are held the second Wednesday or Thursday of January, April, July and September.  The meetings are used for networking with peers, listening to reports from officers and committees, and educational time from inside or external speakers as the agenda permits.  Lunch is also provided at the meetings.

2)E-mail Network - ISPR members benefit from being included in an email network both in Illinois and Nationally.  The advantage of the network is an invaluable tool to recruiters to bounce ideas off of peers and to ask about experience with various topics.  Members feel free to respond to topics that interest them or that they have had experience with.  Try it!

  • Illinois Email Network:  ISPR email network for Illinois members network is available to all members.  (Must be a member of ISPR to join and we will set you up.)
  • National Email Network :  The contact person for the National Email Network is Cass Greene.  She can be reached at amba@lisco.com, or at (828) 268-0047.  Cass keeps a backlog of specific topics from the network, which is an invaluable tool to a recruiter needing information.  She also manages the national network by sending the emails and responses.  Currently, this network represents over 14, 000 hospitals, practices, and clinics!

3)  Physician Recruitment Fair - ISPR sponsors a fair in the fall of each year, usually held at a hotel in Chicago.  The fair serves as an educational seminar and networking for ISPR members, along with a physician's job fair held one day.  ISPR members are able to set up booths to advertise there facility and their opportunities.  This fair is heavily advertised to targeted residency and fellowship schools within Illinois and the wheel states around Illinois.  We have had over 300 physicians attend the job fair years past!  This is becoming larger each year, as the first fair was in 2000.

ISPR membership dues are $100, billed on a yearly basis
